When we are young we really don’t pay much attention to the true meanings of media, but as we get older we become more open minded and start to see things differently. Different types of media affect different types of people. It all depends on the experiences we’ve had in our lifetime and how they relate to the media topic. For example, going into my teenage years I was too overweight for my age. Seeing all the models on Mass media that represented fitness and body commercials did not make me feel any better about my self. I felt uncomfortable with my body and wanted so bad to look like the models. I wanted to be skinny and built, because I believed that was the correct way to look. That was then, when I was a simple minded teen. Now I am aware of how the media targets viewers and I am too intelligent to be absorbed by the sponge of lies that Mass media tries to capture us with.
This paragraph is both ideological and subjective. Ideological in the sense that it has to do with what you beleive, Subjective in terms of personal experience.
